Weekend Baking

I know, I know. Enough of the Farmer's Market. But I really can't get over how great everything is. Fruits and vegetables Ive never heard of, spilling in every direction and ripe as the day is long.

This weekend I'm on a special baking assignment, so I picked up some produce to be used. Its so nice to use fresh local fruit in baked goods. In fact nothing else would do in this heat I don't think.

All of the goods you see here will be used. I'll share more next week.

Except for this melon. He looked so good, I hoisted him up and brought him home for myself.
