It was suggested I post on these guys, which obviously didn't take much encouragement. I might love New York, but no team, anywhere, will ever replace my hometown boys -- including the Phillies. So thrilled to see their win last night carry them to a second consecutive World Series. And we won't put the cart before the horse, BUT if they were to win, the would be making history -- not since 1975-76 has another NL team won two in a row (or any team since 1998-2000 Yankees--blah blah blah). I have my fingers crossed. I missed their win last year because I was in Russia (Russia? What?), so am happy to be near my hometown for this series. [photo courtesy of Getty Images].10.22.2009
