I've read about this lovely lady before, but I was hustling up to Union Square recently and "What theme would you like ?" Caught my attention. I looked over + there she was on a rickety old typewriter sitting on a pastic crate with a cardboard sign readying "$2 poem, any theme." And this guy was her patron ! I didn't wait to hear what theme he wanted, but I sort of wish I had. Only in New York, that's for sure.
